Budapest, 24 November 2020 – Taking into consideration the needs of DIGI and Invitel customers in the hope that residents will be able to travel again, DIGI included roaming services to its recently announced residential tariff packages, DIGIMobil Max, DIGIMobil Plus and Junior option.
Even though travelling across borders may only boost again next year, the challenges of 2020 highlighted the importance of telecommunication services and increased the demand for reliable, convenient ways of communication. Preparing for that via hearing the call of its customers for simple and affordable ways of international communication, DIGI included roaming services to its recently introduced mobile tariff packages. Roaming services now added to the tariff packages available from 1st January 2021 will provide favourable conditions of mobile services for the subscribers in all state members of the European Union.
EU roaming package (Roaming 1 Zone) includes HUF 7/min price for calls within the roaming zone and initiated to DIGI’s network in Hungary and to any other Hungarian network, while the incoming calls are charged for HUF 3.5/ min.
Usage of data roaming costs HUF 540/GB. Starting from January, DIGI decided to increase the limit of bill shock prevention to HUF 18 000, when reaching that limit customers will be notified via SMS. Data and minutes included in the residential tariff packages can be used in Hungary, while the following affordable tariffs will apply in roaming:
